Dial By Name Directory
General Information:
Evolution features 2 dial by name directories. The directories are indexed by first and last name and named accordingly: 'DialByFirstName' and 'DialByLastName'. Both directories are automatically updated based on the values present in the Name field for the individual voicemail boxes.
The directories utilize the first 3 letters of the first or last name to match to queries. In the above screenshot 'JAN' would match in the 'DialByFirstName' directory and 'BEA' would match in the 'DialByLastName' directory.
Routing calls to the Directories:
The dial by name directories can be accessed by routing calls to either of the the Auto Attendants named: Dialbyfirstname or Dialbylastname

Below is an example of an Auto Attendant with option 6 routing calls to the 'DialByFirstName' directory, and option 7 routing calls to the 'DialByLastName' directory:

How to remove a User from the Directory
To remove a user from the directory you will need to modify the voicemail for the specified user and set the 'Hide From Dir.' field to 'Yes' as shown below:
